I am thankful for today

more than I was for yesterday,

For the people whom I can call any day

and also for those who chose to stay.

I am thankful for the art, the rainbows and the stars

And also for people not hiding their scars

who unknowingly became a part of my tribe

And helped me bring out the best in life

I am thankful for all the love and care

and indeed, for the neighbours and their stares.

For those who held me all along,

even when I was stubborn and wrong.

To them I will owe forever,

they are my gems, my biggest treasure.

So pause my friend, and thank your humans today

Just do it now, before they are taken away.
